Flight Crew Training

Oxford Aviation Academy's Flight Crew training is based on more than 60 years of experience in pilot training. Aircraft type specific courses are available for a wide range of commercial aircraft types, and include type ratings, abbreviated type ratings, differences training, recurrent training, refresher training, and instructor training courses.

All training courses are delivered by one of our regulatory authority approved Type Rating Training Organisations (TRTO) using our own fleet of full flight simulators. The training courses can be customised to an airline's specific requirements including their SOPs.

Many of OAA's Type Division instructors are working pilots and cabin personnel. They play an important role in maintaining top quality, reality-based and realistic training. Above all, our instructors are responsible for ensuring that our students achieve the best possible results and receive the highest quality training from OAA.

Our training philosphy

Communication between instructor and trainee is the key to our training philosophy. It is the point on which we focus to ensure that the trainee is given all the help and guidance he or she needs to succeed.

OAA believes that the key to all successful training is efficient two-way communication between the trainee and instructor. Successful training is characterized by instructors giving support and encouragement through a trainee centered and solution-focused approach."
