Command Upgrade Training

The transfer from the right to the left hand seat is one of the most important mile-stones in a pilot's career. Oxford Aviation Academy's Command Upgrade course is designed for experienced First Officers who meet the requirements for command on the same type of aircraft, and is always developed in close cooperation with the customer airline. Not only is the candidate expected to handle any non-normal operations but they must also show command skills in the areas of Crew Resource Management (CRM).

The course is concluded with a 'flight check' at the end of the course to ensure that the skills the candidate has learnt can be put into practice in an effective manner.
